Inima să-ţi fie plină de laude

 Când Habacuc L-a văzut pe Domnul, inima lui a fost plină de laude: “Domnul însă este în Templul Lui cel sfânt. Tot pământul să tacă înaintea Lui!” (Habacuc 2:20). Zbaterea din credinţa lui a sfârşit în triumful credinţei. El spune: “Doamne, tac înaintea maiestăţii Tale. Nu mai am întrebări.” Când Iov a văzut gloria lui Dumnezeu, el a spus: “Acum ochiul meu Te-a văzut. Îmi pun mâna la gură.” (Iov 42:5; 40:4,5). Iov nu a mai avut întrebări din momentul când L-a văzut pe Domnul. Dumnezeu nu va da răspuns tuturor celor 10000 de întrebări pe care le ai, pentru că dacă ar face astfel, tu vei mai avea încă 10000 de întrebări de pus! Răspunsul (ca în cazul lui Iov şi al lui Habacuc) este de a-L vedea pe Însuşi Domnul. Domnul este în templul Lui cel sfânt. Ochiul tău L-a văzut? Atunci fiinţa ta va tăcea înaintea Lui şi nu vei mai avea întrebări!

Când Habacuc L-a văzut pe Dumnezeu, el a văzut răsplătirea unei vieţi trăite în credinţă. O viaţă care Îl are în centru pe Dumnezeu este o viaţă de biruinţă. Habacuc, cel care se gândea că Dumnezeu nu făcea nimic în privinţa pedepsirii oamenilor răi, acum se roagă ca în mânia Lui, să-şi aducă aminte de îndurările Lui(Habacuc 3:2). Cel care îşi imaginase că Dumnezeu şi-a părăsit poporul, acum cântă o cântare de laudă. El spune: “Sunt plin de uimire pentru lucrurile pe care le-ai făcut. Când Îl văd pe Dumnezeul cel Sfânt, splendoarea Lui măreaţă umple cerurile. Pământul este plin de lauda Lui. Ce Dumnezeu minunat este El. E plin de bucurie, în puterea Lui nemărginită. Când priveşte El, popoarele tremură. Ai ieşit să salvezi pe poporul Tău ales, să mântuieşti pe unsul Tău. Ai sfărâmat acoperişul casei celui rău.” (Habacuc 3:2-14).

Acum Habacuc L-a văzut pe Dumnezeu ca fiind Cel mai mare, şi nu pe babilonieni. Cei cu inima curată Îl vor vedea pe Dumnezeu în tot locul şi întotdeauna.(Matei 5:8). Problema de până atunci era că Habacuc a văzut doar pe babilonienii cei răi prosperând. Acum el a văzut că Dumnezeu este în controlul tuturor lucrurilor.

“Acoperişul casei celui rău” poate fi corespondentul  lui Satan, care a fost zdrobit de Isus pe cruce.

Toate întrebările lui Habacuc şi-au găsit răspuns când el L-a văzut pe Dumnezeu în gloria şi în măreţia Sa. I s-a cutremurat trupul când L-a văzut pe Dumnezeu şi a spus: “Voi aştepta în tăcere ziua când nenorocirea va lovi pe oamenii care au venit peste noi”(Habacuc 2:16). Când ai o îndoială cu privire la ceva, vorbeşte-i Domnului despre ea, şi nu omului. Ultimul cuvânt al lui Dumnezeu pentru Habacuc a fost: “Aşteaptă!” Când Habacuc a aşteptat şi a ascultat de Domnul, plângerea lui s-a transformat într-un cântec. Acelaşi lucru ni se va întâmpla şi nouă. Cel mai greu lucru dintre toate este să aştepţi.

Minunata cântare de laudă a lui Habacuc este una dintre cele mai frumoase cântări ale credinţei din Vechiul Testament. El cântă aici ca un sfânt al noului legământ: “Chiar dacă smochinul nu va înflori, viţa nu va da nici un rod, rodul măslinului va lipsi şi câmpiile nu vor da hrană, oile vor pieri din staule şi nu vor mai fi boi în grajduri, eu tot ma voi bucura în Domnul, mă voi bucura în Dumnezeul mântuirii mele!”(Habacuc 3:17,18).

Cum s-a întâmplat cu Iov de asemenea, afacerile lui au fost ruinate, şi a pierdut totul. Totuşi el nu şi-a pierdut bucuria fiindcă bucuria lui era în Domnul şi aceasta nu stătea în vreun lucru pământesc. Chiar dacă totul în jurul nostru se prăbuşeşte, totuşi noi ne vom bucura în Dumnezeul mântuirii noastre.

O cântare de laudă este expresia exterioară a triumfului credinţei din interior. “Atunci ei au crezut în cuvintele Lui şi au cântat laudele Lui”(Psalmul 106:12).

Habacuc continuă spunând: “Domnul Dumnezeu este tăria mea; El îmi face picioarele ca ale cerbilor, şi mă face să merg pe înălţimile mele.”(Habacuc 3:19). Acest proroc care avea atât de multe îndoieli şi temeri la început acm spune că Domnul îl va purta în siguranţă peste orice munte al îndoielii şi îi va face piciorul la fel de stabil pe acei munţi ca al cerbului, care nu îşi pierde pasul pe crestele stâncoase.

Habacuc adaugă o remarca interesantă la sfârşit: “(pentru dirijorul corului: această rugaciune va fi acompaniată de instrumente cu coarde)”(Habacuc 3 :19). Ceea ce vrea să spună e că deşi totul e pierdut, nu cânta aceasta cântare ca un marş funebru! Trebuie cântată ca o cântare de bucurie – şi asigură-te că sunt folosite de asemenea, multe instrumente muzicale!

Trebuie să învăţăm să-L lăudăm pe Domnul din toată inima noastră. Nu cânta niciodată cântări Domnului cu plictiseală! Domnul este pe tron şi Isus este biruitor, indiferent de ce s-ar întâmpla în univers. Haideţi deci, să ne folosim vocile şi toate instrumentele muzicale pe care ni le-a dat Domnul, pentru a-L slăvi şi a înălţa Numele Lui. Amin.

            Let Your Heart be Full of Praise

When Habakkuk saw the Lord, his heart was full of praise: “The Lord is in His holy temple, let all the earth be silent” (Hab 2:20). The conflict of his faith ended in the triumph of faith. He says, “Lord,
I am silent before Your majesty. I have no more questions.” When Job saw the glory of God he also said, “Now I see You. I put my hand over my mouth” (Job 42:5; 40:4,5). Job had no more questions once he saw the Lord. God will not answer all your 10,000 questions because if He did, you will then have 10,000 more questions! The answer (as in Job’s case and Habakkuk’s case) is to see the Lord Himself. The Lord is in His holy temple. Have you seen Him? Then your flesh will be silent before Him and you will have no more questions!

When Habakkuk saw God, he saw the reward of living a life of faith. A life that is God-centred is a triumphant one.
Habakkuk who had thought that God was doing nothing to punish evil people now prays that God will be merciful in the midst of His anger (Hab 3:2).He who had imagined that God had forsaken His people now signs a song of praise. He says,“I am filled with amazement at the things you have done.
When I see God the Holy One, His brilliant splendour fills the heavens. The earth is full of His praise. What a wonderful God He is. He rejoices in His awesome power.
When He looks, the nations tremble. You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked” (Hab 3:2-14).

Habakkuk now saw God first and not the Babylonians. The pure
in heart will see God everywhere and all the time (Matt.5:8).
The trouble till now was that Habakkuk saw only the wicked
Babylonians prospering. Now He saw that God was in control
of everything.

The “head of the house of the wicked” could be applied to Satan, who was crushed by Jesus on the cross.

All of Habakkuk’s questions were answered when he saw God in His glory and in His greatness. He trembled inwardly when he saw God and said, “I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us” (Hab 2:16).
When you have a doubt, talk to God about it and not to man. God’s final word to Habakkuk and to us is “Wait!”. When Habakkuk waited and listened to God, his complaint was turned into a song.
The same will be true of us. The hardest work of all is to wait. Habakkuk’s wonderful song of praise is one of the most beautiful songs of faith in the entire Old Testament. He sings here like a new-covenant saint: “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vine;
even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty – yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation’ (Hab 3:17,18)

Like Job, his business may be ruined and he may have lost everything. But he will still rejoice because his joy is found in the Lord and not in anything on earth. Even if everything around us fails, we will still rejoice in the God of our salvation.

A song of praise is the outward expression of the inner triumph of faith. “They believed His words – and sang His praise” (Ps.106:12).

Habakkuk goes on to say, “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He will make me as surefooted as a deer and bring me safely over the mountains” (Hab 3:19). This prophet who had so many
doubts and fears at the beginning now says that the Lord will take him safely over every mountain of doubt and make him as sure-footed on those mountains as the deer that don’t lose their footing on the rocky crags.

Habakkuk adds an interesting little note at the end:  “(For the choir director: This prayer must be accompanied by stringed instruments)” (Hab 3:19). What he is saying is that even though everything is lost, don’t sing this song as a mournful dirge! It must be set to joyful music – and make
sure that many musical instruments are used as well!

We must learn to praise the Lord with all of our hearts. Never sing hymns in a drab, monotonous way. The Lord is on the throne and Jesus is Victor, no matter what happens in this universe. Let us therefore use our voices and all the musical instruments God has given us, to praise Him and
exalt His Name. Amen.
